Mooli is a large white radish, sold in markets and many greengrocers. You’re unlikely to find it in conventional supermarkets.
A single mooli is typically about 30 cm long, and can vary in diameter from 5 to 10cm. Peeled and sliced, it’s remarkably crunchy, and tends to have a much milder taste than standard red radishes.
At just 1 calorie per 8g, it’s a crunchy vegetable you can really eat a lot of without upping your calorie intake.
Dip it into taramasalata, tatziki or even low fat cream cheese for extra flavour at very little increased calorie count.
