
No-one could describe miso soup as a filling meal, but it’s a quick and easy filler – you just add boiling water.
You can get miso soup from most supermarkets, and there are literally dozens of different brands to choose from. The calorie count may very slightly from brand to brand, but they’re all very low in calories and, unlike chicken noodle soup, they don’t taste as if they’re made entirely from chemicals.
My favourite is the Itsu brand, and you can get a pack of 60 sachets from Amazon.
