Mushrooms on toast

Mushrooms are remarkably good value – a typical serving is just 15 calories.

Frying them in butter, of course, would pile on the calorie count, but you can dry fry them without any butter or oil involved. Cut them into quarters and cook them dry in a hot frying pan, turning them occasionally.

You can have them on crispbread, of course, but since you wasting barely none of your precious calories on the mushrooms, why not splash out on half a slice of sourdough bread (130 calories).
