Diet chicken noodle soup isn’t one for food purists: it’s got more E numbers than noodles, and can be a bit of a shock to the system.
But when you need a mid-afternoon filler a cup of this soup does the job. You can get it from Sainsbury, Waitrose and probably most other supermarkets, all of whom seem to do their own brands of what is essentially exactly the same thing in different packaging.
Add boiling water, stir, wait for it to cool down a bit. Make sure you have a teaspoon to hand to scoop up the noodles from the bottom of the mug when you reach the end.
